the example of paragraph if clause, subjunctive, adjective clause, noun clause and participle



If clause paragraph
Saturday morning is beautiful day, I get up at 5 o’clock and jogging around the field near my house. I see my friend who school in Surabaya. We talk about our school and our daily, we talk about past story when we are a child. Now we stay at boarding house but in different city, If school finishes early, I usually go to my friend’s house because my friend’s house is near from my house but she seldom go home. We see our watch and we must go home because I must help my mother to make a cake, but before it we make a planning to go to mall and watching a movie. I go home and asking my mother that I meet my friend, my mother permit me tomorrow. In the afternoon I call my friend and ask her about our planning, she want to watching a horror movie but If we saw that film, she wouldn’t enjoy it because she not a brave girl I think and she ever run away when she heard something strange when we are to be pramuka in elementary school. She just laughing when I retell about it, she feels that she is very bashful when she is a child. I always start a conversation with her because she don’t know what will she say, after we talk more about the past I end it and make a plan to see her tomorrow at 9 o’clock. Today I get up at 7 o’clock before I prepare m self I help my mother sweep the floor, washing my clothes, and buy some vegetable for cooking meals and then take a bath, I see my friend sit on living room and waiting for me, she ask to borrow my skirt and I don’t mind if she want to wear it. We arrive at 10 o’clock at mall and I see a beautiful girl with the same dress like I have but I am not wear it, many people see her and I think If I wore that red dress, they would all notice me that’s a funny think for me. My friend and I spend our time until early evening and we go home with beautiful moment that we never forgot it.

Subjunctive paragraph
Today I should finished my homework, I sit in front of my computer about 3 hours and I feel tired. So many homework I must do it, actually I can do this homework yesterday but my nephew here and I must playing with her because she like playing a doll, maybe I can finished early If only she were not here. I think that my brother can help me finish it but he is very busy now because the board of directors recommended that he join the company. Last night he called me and ask about her routine in the company and he wished that he had had more time last night to help me. I lie down my body and think about him, he always help me, he is a good brother, he always protect and care of me but now he stay in Jakarta and go home twice a years. I missing him because he often buy my favorite ice cream everyday. Suddenly when I will continue my homework my computer is shut down and I can’t turn on again, I think that my computer is broken, I am so confuse because I save yet my file. I wish he were here to repair my computer but its impossible, I call my friend how understand about IT but It’s raining, I  wishes it would stop I addition I can go to his house and repair my computer. I give up about it and 1 hour later my friend come to my house and help me to repair my computer, finally my computer can turn on again and my file is not lose. I give a bottle of soft drink and 1 kg of grape to my friend because he help me. I continue my homework until evening and finish it on time because help from my friend.

Adjective clause paragraph
I school at one of university in my city, I have a favorite lecture in the class, he is a patient lecture and always respect of his student, before he learn on my class I ever ask to my friend about him because he drove an antique car, my friend said ” The man, whose car is antique, works as a lecturer here”. I think he is not lecture, maybe he is librarian or helper because he is simple person. He ever told that It is the car that he had dreamed for many years ago when he work at one of junior high school around here. He have little family consist of his wife,2 child and an old man, he is his father. He is the man who works hard to support their daily needs. I ever make a mistake when I am late to submit my homework but he is not angry and give good score for me, I am late to submit because it was rain and he understanding of a situation. His another job is to be a teacher in one of course around here. He ever talk about his experience when he to be a student, he is from a poor family, his father is a farmer and he don’t have a mother when he was 4 years old. He often study at a hut near a field and waiting for his father. He study hard and always get a scholarship because he want to continued his study without make his father hard work, he want to make his father proud of him and he don’t want his father to be a farmer forever. His father and him ever confuse because don’t have money, they fasting until 2 days and his father bring him meals from his neighbor, how hard he is life before. Bandar Lampung is a city where he was born and he moved here when he was married. His wife is a chemistry teacher in one of a senior high school and she always go home early to prepare some meals for her little family. 

Noun clause paragraph
I go to campus even now is free class, I want to find some reference for my presentation next week. I meet Mr. Dodi, he is one of lecture who learn in my class, he looking for Fandy because he submit yet his work. I see him when I walk to the canteen, I said “Mr. Dodi, who is a lecture, was looking for you at office “ and he ask why he looking for him, then I explain that he submit yet his homework and I suddenly get nausea whenever I see his face because he tempt me, I directly leave him and walk to the library and back to my purpose before, It is still unknown where it is now, I hard to find my references. I think no matter how often I practice, my English still sucks, I can’t understand well about the contain of the book. I read it more, I was reading a book when the phone rang until one of student tell me that my phone is rang, I pick up my phone, it’s from my mother, she ask me to go home because she want me to the supermarket and buy some ingredient for dinner. I read yet so I borrow 2 books and bring it. My mother give me list of ingredient and I buy it. I surprise when I know that the casher is one of my friend in senior high school greeting him and he talk why and how can he work there. He is a brave boy in my class in senior high school, and he work there in the morning and in the evening he go to campus, I invite him to visit my home and give my address to him after that I go home and help my mother to make some meals, my mother said that my father will go home early and after dinner he want to invite us to the mall, I think I can buy a book for my reference so I am happy to heard that.


Participle paragraph
I was an accident last month, I crash motorcycle until my feet was injuries, I can’t walk until two weeks and I just lie down and watching a television, my mother help me when I want go to bathroom and eat some meals, some of my friends visited me and bring some meals for me, one that meals is chocolate, not only bring for me, one of my friends eaten also. The chocolate being eaten by him is very delicious. Some of my friend confuse to find my home because before it, my fence  have black color and my father  had painted the fence in green. I told how it happened when they ask about it. I explained ” That road had been cleaned after I crash motorcycle”. I cant feel sick when I fall but when I try to walk I feel sick and I saw many bloods on my feet and the people who crash me bring to the hospital. My friends respect of me and want me be carefully on the road.

CHAPTER 5
PARTICIPLE
A participle is a word formed from a verb which can be used as an adjective.

The two types of participles are the
present participle (ending ing) and the past participle (usually ending -ed, -d, -t, -en, or -n).

Here are some participles being used as adjectives:

Participle Phrases

It is really common to see participles in participle phrases. A participle phrase also acts like an adjective. In the examples below, the participle phrases are shaded and the participles are in bold:
  • The man carrying the bricks is my father.
(The participle phrase carrying the bricks describes the the man.)
  • She showed us a plate of scones crammed with cream.
(The participle phrase crammed with cream describes the scones.)
  • Whistling the same tune as always, Ted touched the front of his cap with his forefinger as she dismounted.
(The participle phrase Whistling the same tune as always describes Ted.)
  • Stunned by the blow, Mike quickly gathered his senses and searched frantically for the pepper spray.
(The participle phrase Stunned by the blow describes Mike.)
Present Participles
Present participles end in -ing. Examples:
  • boiling water
  • caring nature
  • deserving recipient
Some more examples of present participles (shaded):
  • A laughing man is stronger than a suffering man. (Gustave Flaubert, 1821-1880)
  • If you pick up a starving dog and make him prosperous, he will not bite you. This is the principal difference between a dog and a man. (Mark Twain, 1835-1910)
  • The only thing that comes to a sleeping man is dreams. (Tupac Shakur)
Present participles are not just used as adjectives. They are also used to form verb tenses. Here are the verb tenses (present participles shaded):

Past Participles
Past participles have various endings, usually -ed, -d, -t, -en, or -n. Examples:
  • broken window
  • painted frame
  • destroyed bridge
Some more examples of past participles (shaded):
  • A swollen eye is God's way of telling you to improve your interpersonal skills.
  • Do not waste time staring at a closed door.
  • I like children...if they're properly cooked. (W.C. Fields)
(Remember, an adjective can also appear after the noun it is modifying. See predicate adjectives.)
Past participles are also used to form verb tenses. Look at these verb tenses (past participles shaded):

Perfect Participles
Perfect participles are formed like this:

"Having" + [past participle]
